Parenting is not an easy job but it can become simpler with counselling. A three-day workshop offering expert advice and guidance on child care, education and child psychology will be held at a mall in south Delhi from Saturday.
An initiative by parentune.com, an online portal, on the Parents' Day -- that falls on the fourth Sunday of July, is aimed at solving challenges that today's parents face in the world of nuclear families, said a statement issued here Thursday.
"Urban parents are on a constant lookout for relevant and credible solutions, and support from their fellow parents and experts," the statement said.
"New set of challenges, like lack of an extended family support, swamped work schedule, ascending expenses, busy and stressful lifestyles make it difficult for the parents to strike a balance between work and what they want to for their child," it added.
In the workshop, the parents would be able to interact with experts, discuss issues and problems they face.
Topics like introducing your child to gadgets, internet and media, right nutrition and diet for your children, choosing right pre-school or school, handling aggression and behavioural issues in children, healthy pregnancy, conceiving and surrogacy, and parenting a teenager will be discussed in the workshops.
