Two men and a juvenile have been arrested on the charge of kidnapping and murdering a businessman after he refused to arrive at a compromise in the kidnapping case filed by his niece against the prime accused, police said on Thursday.
Prime accused Parvinder, 23, and his accomplices Vikas, 20, and the 17-year-old juvenile are residents of Faridabad and were arrested on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, they abducted Sonu, 34, of Faridabad after he left for his shop in Badarpur area of Delhi.
An auto-rickshaw driver informed Sonu's younger brother Kapil that the three accused intercepted Sonu's car and abducted him at gunpoint in a van, following which a case was registered at the Badarpur police station, Deputy Commissioner of Police Chinmoy Biswal said.
"Sonu's family suspected Parvinder since he was mounting pressure on the former for a compromise in a kidnapping case registered against him by the minor niece of the deceased," Biswal said.
Police questioned Parvinder but he denied his involvement in the case. But his movements on the day of the crime, CCTV footage and mobile phone locations contradicted his stand, following which he was interrogated.

"Parvinder confessed to his crime and told police that he along with two accomplices had kidnapped and killed Sonu in Tappal near Aligarh. They later dumped the body in a field on the Kishanpur-Peepli road and burnt his car near Palwal," the officer added.
Parvinder worked as a part-time driver and was out on bail. He was facing trial in a Saket court regarding the kidnapping of Sonu's niece, whom the victim had been helping in the legal battle.
After Sonu refused to compromise, Parvinder hatched the plan to kill him, the officer added.
