At least three people were killed and six went missing after two boats collided and sank in the East China Sea Thursday, authorities said.
The ministry of transport's East China Sea salvage bureau received a report of an accident at 6.12 a.m. off Nanri Island, near Fujian province in China, Xinhua reported.
So far four people have been rescued.
Authorities said rescue operations are underway.
Both boats were Chinese vessels.
