Three militants were arrested on Saturday in Assam's Kokrajhar district in a joint operation launched by the army and the police.
Two cadres of the anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) and a Muslim Tiger Force of Assam (MTFA) cadre were nabbed in two separate incidents, police said.
One of the arrested NDFB cadres is involved in December 23 massacre of Adivasis last year in Chirang district, it added.
The security forces also recovered one 7.62 mm pistol, one country made rifle, two 7.62 mm live rounds, one 9 mm pistol and two live rounds of 9 mm pistol from the possession of the nabbed militants.
"The arrest was made following an operation based on specific information at Amguri area in Kokrajhar district.
"Two cadres, Sanjeev Boro alias B Sansuma and Angalu Mushahary were apprehended," an army statement said.

"In another operation in Jalabila in the district, army troops and Assam police apprehended one MTFA cadre, Anwar Hussain," it said.
Hussain was involved in procurement of weapons and had plans of causing violence during the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections due next month, it added.
