Three key suspects in the murder of an Italian national in the country have been arrested, the police said on Monday.
"We have arrested three main suspects over the murder of the Italian national and seized a motor cycle," Xinhua quoted Monirul Islam, joint commissioner of the Detective Branch of the Bangladesh Police, as saying.
He could not tell immediately whether the arrested persons are members of a militant group, and added the senior police officers will give details at a press briefing.
The Italian national named Tavela Ceaser, 50, who was working for an international organisation, was shot dead around 7 p.m. (local time) on September 28 in Dhaka's diplomatic enclave Gulshan.
