At least three terrorists were killed while attacking an air base in Pakistan's Peshawar town early Friday, a military spokesman said.
Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Asim Bajwa said the terrorists launched an attack on a Pakistan Air Force base, Xinhua news agency reported.
Initial information suggested that seven to 10 militants stormed the base, he said.
He said three assailants have been killed so far. "Terrorists engaged (were) contained around guard room area," he tweeted.
"Quick reaction force reached, surrounded and isolated them," he said, adding that the gunfight was on.
