Inmates of Delhi's Tihar jail celebrated the festival of Janmashtami here on the campus by staging dance shows and singing devotional songs, said a jail official.
"The prisoners celebrated the Janmashtami festival," Tihar jail spokesperson Sunil Gupta told IANS.
They chanted "Hare Krishna" (Hail Lord Krishna) and danced to religious songs.
The children of a few inmates also participated.
Gupta said inmates of jail number four also staged "matki phod" (breaking of the pot containing buttermilk) event.
