At least 15 people were killed and 40 injured Sunday in a suicide bombing and two car bombs targeting security forces in Iraq.

The attack occurred when two booby-trapped cars detonated, followed by a suicide bomber who blew himself outside police headquarter in Diyala province's Qara-Tabba town, an official told Xinhua.

Most of the victims were from the Kurdish security forces, known as Peshmerga, the official said.

Police have launched a probe into the incident.
