Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy escaped unhurt after the car in which he and his wife were travelling met with an accident in West Bengal's Birbhum district on Wednesday, an official release here said.
A tractor hit the rear side of the vehicle in which Roy and his wife Anuradha Roy were returning from Santiniketan to Kolkata at Ilambazar in Birbhum, the release said.
None was injured in the incident.
The release said that a probe was on following the accident and appropriate steps are being taken.
In Santiniketan, the Governor attended at a function in Visva Bharati University on 'Rajbhasha' day celebration.
