A Turkish supply ship ran aground off Kos island in the Aegean Sea on Monday with no reported injuries, a statement said on Tuesday.
The Greek Coast Guard speedboats were still unable to reach the ship because of rough seas, Xinhua news agency reported.
The Turkish vessel Alcatras was sailing from Tuzla to Antalya carrying technical equipment, the captain told the authorities.
He reported a steering gear malfunction, assuring that the five-member crew was in fine health.
No environmental damage has been caused so far, the Greek authorities said.
