Two members of an outlawed group have been arrested in Pakistan for allegedly spying on Punjab's home minister who was killed in a suicide attack, the media reported on Friday.

Qari Tahir and Mohammad Zubair had been reportedly tracking the movements of minister Shuja Khanzada in the weeks preceding the August 16 attack at his office in Attock that left him dead, Dawn reported.

The two men were arrested following information provided by intelligence agencies. They were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation, a senior official said.

Besides Khanzada, 18 others were killed in the attack. They included Deputy Superintendent of Police Hazro Police Shaukat Ali Shah.
