Ahead of their FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifying match against Croatia in Zagreb next week, Ukraine's national football team has unveiled its new uniform, featuring a patriotic palette of blue and yellow.
The sportswear, developed by Spanish company Joma, was presented during a conference at the Olympic Stadium here on Friday with the participation of the head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko and the management of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU), reports Xinhua news agency.
The distinctive feature of the uniform is that the kits are decorated with strips of the traditional Ukrainian embroidery and with the new team logo depicting the symbol of Ukraine -- Tryzub.
The sportswear is expected to go on sale in the coming months and will be available in the official stores of the company-designer.
"We anticipate that the uniform will hit the shelves in May or even earlier. According to the preliminary agreements, its price will be twice lower than the cost of the previous uniform," Valeriy Shcreba, the vice president of the FFU, told reporters during the presentation.
