UltraTech Cement on Monday said its net profit in the fourth quarter of 2015-16 rose by 10 percent, at Rs.723 crore, against Rs.657 crore in the corresponding period of 2014-15.
The company, in a regulatory filing, said its net sales in the fourth quarter increased by 5 percent to Rs.6,850 crore from Rs.6,517 crore in the year-ago period.
The group posted a net profit of Rs.2,286.58 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016 where as the same was at Rs.2,098.34 crore for the year ended March 31, 2015. Total income was Rs.25,770.12 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016 as against Rs.24,690.06 crore for the year ended March 31, 2015.
The company in its statement said the annual financial performance is not comparable with the previous year due to its acquisition of Jaiparakash Associates Ltd's Gujarat cement assets completed in June 2014.
