Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) O.P. Singh on Saturday held a meeting with his Madhya Pradesh counterpart to discuss security arrangements to be made in the neighbouring state for the upcoming Assembly polls.
Both the DGPs jointly chaired the 'Inter-State Coordination Meeting' with officials of the bordering districts, a police spokesman said, adding that issues related to the smooth conduct of the polls were also discussed.
Eleven Uttar Pradesh districts -- Agra, Etawah, Jalna, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahomba, Banda, Chitrakoot, Allahabad, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra -- share a border with Madhya Pradesh.
The Assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh will take place on November 28.
