Coining an acronym to denote the Congress, the SP and the BSP with the name of the executed 26/11 attacker, BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday said that the time had come to rid Uttar Pradesh of "KaSaB".

"Uttar Pradesh is sick and tired of an ailment called KaSab... time has come to get rid of it," he said at a rally in Azamgarh area in central Uttar Pradesh, using the name of Ajmal Kasab, the sole Pakistani terrorist captured alive during the 26/11 Mumbai attack, in the acronym loosely based on the Hindi versions of the three parties' names.

At another rally in Gorakhpur, the BJP chief said there was a "wave in support of the BJP across UP" and added that he was certain that his party will form a majority government in the state.

Accusing Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav of hoodwinking the people of the state with his false claims of development, Amit Shah also lashed out at the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati.

"The Bua-Bhatija and Chacha-Bhatija combine have plundered the state enough, now is the time to bid them good bye" he said.
