Actress Soni Singh, who was seen alongside Upen Patel in popular reality show "Bigg Boss 8" in 2014, says she has since been in touch with the actor and he is always available to her as a brother whenever she needs his support.
"People believe that blood bonds are more stronger. But, I have experienced that it's not important that you need blood-links to enjoy the depth of any relationship. Upen and I met in 'Bigg Boss' and since then we are together. He treats me like a sister and is always there for me whenever I need him. He also compares me to his sister who resides in London," Soni said in a statement.
Talking about the Rakshabandhan festival, which will be celebrated on Monday, Soni said: "Rakhi brothers are more special to you because it's a relation you choose to be in and grow older with. Along with Upen, I have one more Rakhi brother, Sohan Thakur... even he is really special and kind. He always calls me 'Chutki', and I am blessed to have two Rakhi brothers."
She added: "Like every Rakshabandhan, even this year I'm going to celebrate with them and have fun."
Soni can currently be seen in Star Plus show "Aarambh".
