Leading online furniture major Urban Ladder Friday announced it was hiring the core team of BuyNBrag, a Delhi-based home decor firm, to strengthen its talent pool.
"BuyNBrag co-founder Prithvi Raj Tejavath and his six team members have joined us to strengthen and increase our talent pool," Urban Ladder co-founder and chief executive Ashish Goel said in a statement here.
A Urban Ladder spokesperson clarified to IANS that the company had acqui-hired only six employees of the Delhi-based BuyNBrag and not the home decor maker.
"We have acqui-hired Tejavath and five other employees of BuyNBrag's 12-member team," the spokesperson said.
Tejavath will be Urban Ladder's vice-president for home decor.
The city-based Urban Ladder was set up in July 2012 to market furniture products online and to make a million homes beautiful.

"We remain focused on furniture category, as curated furniture range has become synonymous with world class designs and impeccable quality," Goel said on the occasion.
BuyNBrag was also launched in 2012 and is known for its contemporary design and extensive decor and furnishings range.
"Besides providing best in class furniture, we will add a wider home decor range to our catalogue," Goel added.
"Urban Ladder has made a huge impact in the furniture category and has created a niche. Our team brings expertise in the home decor segment to it," Tejavath said in the statement.
Urban Ladder Nov 14 declared that Tata Sons chairman emeritus Ratan Tata made an undisclosed personal investment in the company, four months after second round of funding from venture partner Steadview Capital and its early-stage investors SAIF Partners and Kalaari Capital.
