San Antonio (Texas) Oct 2 (IANS/EFE) An American girl, who was kidnapped by her mother at the age of four and taken to Mexico 12 years ago, has been found and returned to the US, authorities have announced.
A spokesman for the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday that Sabrina Allen, 17, was discovered living with her mother, Dara Marie Llorens, southeast of Mexico City.
Sabrina was living in 2002 with her father who had custody of the child following the parents' divorce.
Llorens said she was taking Sabrina for the weekend but then both disappeared.
Last week, in a joint operation, the FBI and Mexican federal agents located the pair, arrested the girl's mother and returned Sabrina to her father.
The spokesman said the pair's whereabouts were reported by an informant working for a private investigation company,
