Valencia continued to chase La Liga football tournament leaders Barcelona after defeating Deportivo Alaves 2-1.
Italian forward Simone Zaza opened the scoring for Valencia 34 minutes into the match on Saturday, reports Efe.
Spanish defender Alexis Ruano Delgado scored the equalizer for Alaves after just four minutes into the second half.
Spanish forward Rodrigo Moreno scored the winner for Valencia after converting a penalty in the 66th minute to secure the away win.
After this victory, Valencia holds the second position of La Liga table with 24 points, one point behind leader Barcelona, which will visit Athletic Bilbao later on Saturday.
Alaves is in the 19th place with just three points after suffering its ninth defeat this season.
