Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari on Thursday condoled the passing away of eminent journalist K.K. Katyal.
"I am deeply grieved to hear about the demise of eminent journalist K.K. Katyal. Katyal's reporting on political and international affairs was legendary," the Vice President said in a statement issued here.
"I convey my deepest condolences to the bereaved members of the family and join the nation in praying for eternal peace for the departed soul," he added.
Veteran journalist and former Chief of Bureau of The Hindu in New Delhi Katyal died in a New Delhi hospital on Wednesday after a brief illness. He was 88.
