The viscera of TV journalist Akshay Singh, who died under mysterious circumstances while covering the Vyapam scam, was Tuesday brought to the AIIMS for further examination, hospital authorities said Tuesday.
"The viscera of the dead journalist was today (Tuesday) evening handed over to the forensic department of AIIMS by the Madhya Pradesh police," a senior doctor from the department told IANS.
He said a three-member panel would be formed to conduct the further examination after which the report will be submitted to the police.
Akshay Singh, who was on assignment in Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh died on Saturday under mysterious circumstances soon after he had interviewed the parents of a girl who was found dead after her name figured in the massive Vyapam scam.
The journalist was rushed to the civil hospital and later to a private hospital, but doctors failed to revive him. From there he was taken to another hospital in nearby Dahod district in Gujarat, where he was declared brought dead.
