Actor Vishal Krishna on Thursday confirmed that the sequel to his 2005 Tamil actioner "Sandakozhi" has been shelved indefinitely.
"Sad to see certain filmmakers lacking commitment towards projects. Guess actors should stick to acting and directors to directing. 'Sandakozhi 2' cancelled (sic)," Vishal posted on his Twitter page.
The project was supposed to be directed by Linguswamy, who helmed the first part.
"Sandakozhi" was one of the biggest hits in Vishal's career. He was all set to produce the sequel under his home banner Vishal Film Factory.
Meanwhile, Vishal recently wrapped up shooting for Tamil rural actioner "Marudhu".
