It was a warm Sunday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 30.6 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average, the Met Office said.
"It was the hottest morning of the season," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 42 degrees Celsius.
The day will be partly cloudy and the city may witness dust/thunderstorm, the official added.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 60 per cent.
Saturday's maximum temperature settled at 42.8 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
