Warm Wednesday in Delhi, Thursday to be partly cloudy

The national capital experienced a warm Wednesday following a foggy morning with the maximum temperature settling five notches above the season's average at 25.1 degrees Celsius. The weather department has forecast a partly cloudy day on Thursday.

"The sky would remain partly cloudy on Thursday while there will be shallow fog in the morning and forenoon," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 24 and 9 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday's minimum temperature settled at 8.5 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average while the maximum humidity was recorded 97 percent.

Poor visibility due to fog in Delhi and other parts of northern India on Wednesday led to the cancellation and rescheduling of one train each while 11 trains were running late.

Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average, while the minimum temperature settled at 10.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.
