Actor-producer Akkineni Nagarjuna is set to team up with Tamil actor Karthi in a yet-untitled Telugu project that will be helmed by Vamsi Paidipally. He was so bowled over by Vamsi's script that he instantaneously agreed to do it.
"When Vamsi narrated the script, I was totally bowled. I agreed to do it right away, but we had to wait for Karthi to join us. I was waiting to start shooting for the project for quite some time. It's one of the best scripts I've come across," Nagarjuna told IANS.
The film, which is being produced by PVP Cinemas, was officially launched Wednesday. The regular shooting will start from March 16.
Shruti Haasan and veteran actress Jayasudha will be seen essaying important roles.
According to insiders, the film is an official remake of French hit "The Intouchables". Apparently, Nagarjuna will be playing a patient in the film.
Nagarjuna, who last seen in last year's Telugu hit "Manam", has been busy playing a quiz-master on his show "Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu" over the last few months.
