Washington's Democratic Governor Jay Inslee said that he was going to decide on a 2020 presidential run soon.
"We're coming up to another week. Stay tuned," Inslee said during a TV interview on Sunday night, adding that the decision could come "as soon as" this week, CNN reported.
"I've been pleased by what I've been hearing across the country," the second-term Democratic Governor said.
"That people do want a president that will act on a real emergency, which is climate change."
If he were to enter the race, Inslee would be the only Governor in a growing field of Democratic candidates so far including Indian American Senator Kamala Harris and former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
Inslee has long been critical of President Donald Trump, especially on issues of climate change.
