Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sachin Pilot on Friday questioned Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala's decision to ask B.S. Yeddyurappa of the BJP -- the single-largest party in the new Assembly -- to form the government in the southern state.

"One country, one Constitution, but two laws! This is what was showcased in Karnataka when the Governor invited the BJP to form the new government despite the fact that Congress-Janata Dal-Secular had the majority numbers.

"However, in Goa, Meghalaya, and Manipur, the Congress was the single-largest party but the Governors there still invited the Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies to form the respective governments," Pilot told the media here.

"How can a Governor adopt two approaches in different states in a country that follows one Constitution?"
