Designer Rahul Mishra showcased the versatility of t-shirt, "the outfit that is completing 100 years of existence", through a collection titled "Kiss" (Keep it Simple and Sport) at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week(WIFW) Spring-Summer 2014.

"When I was making a collection, I thought of what all we can do and then the thought of naming a collection 'Kiss' came in my mind. It's a simple collection inspired from sports. The collection also pays an ode to t-shirts which has completed 100 years. It is one of the most successful stitched garments in the history of apparel," Mishra told IANS.

The designer has used lot of handlooms including khadi, jamdani and bandini on the garment that varies from dresses, saris, and palazzos to tops. The colour palette consists of shades of coral, orange, indigo, blue, white and classic black.

The rich story of hand-woven garment is beautifully fused with neo-chic cuts and technical textiles like jersey and PVC for the range that redefined sports and traditional wear.

"The highpoint of the range is that it is not specific to any occasion. One can wear it anywhere and anytime. I would say it is much better than other garments because it is very simple. There is khadi, jamdani, bandini and a bit of organza in the collection which makes it really beautiful in terms of look and feel," said Mishra.

The designs are apt for those who are free-spirited, he said.
