Newly-appointed Minister of State for Health Santosh Chowdhary Tuesday said she will try and fulfil the government's plans for the sector as part of her new mandate.
"I will first see what the states are doing specially for women and children. They are getting a lot of money," Chowdhary told IANS.
She said her efforts would be to try and fulfil the UPA government's plans for the health sector.
Chowdhary, an MP from Hoshiarpur (Punjab), was inducted into the Manmohan Singh-led union council of ministers Monday.
