The Wings India 2018 aviation show, jointly organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Ministry of Civil Aviation and Airports Authority of India (AAI), will commence in Hyderabad from Thursday.
The four-day event will be formally launched by Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju at Begumpet airport at 10 a.m., an official statement said on Wednesday.
The theme of the biennial event this time is 'India-Global Aviation Hub' and the focus will be on connecting the cities and towns aimed at increasing the regional connectivity in the country.
Fifteen aircraft by ATR, Honda, TruJet, Gulfstream, Boeing, Embraer , Dassault, Club One Air, Aeroteck, Zoom Air, Air India, NAL and others will be on static display.
The US, UK, Japan, Russia, Singapore, France, Germany, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Italy and Iran will participate in the event.
FICCI said that the conference aims to be the most comprehensive platform in the region for the interactions, forging alliances, investments and air connectivity between the states and the global aviation players/ stakeholders.

The exhibition on Civil Aviation and Aerospace is also expected to witness a participation from sectors such as aircraft manufacturing, aircraft machinery and equipment, aircraft interiors, airlines, airline services and air cargo, airports infrastructure and equipment, the Space Industry and the Skill Development and Aviation Training Institutes.
Roundtable conferences on tourism, cargo and logistics, general aviation and skills and training, besides release of Knowledge Paper and Exhibitors Directory are planned.
