The eight-day winter session of the Bihar assembly began here on Friday. It is likely to be a stormy one as the opposition is set to take on the Nitish Kumar-led government.
Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary urged members to cooperate and allow the house to run smoothly.
The house was shortly adjourned after obituary references to former legislators and victims of the Indore-Patna train accident.
Bihar Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shravan Kumar said apart from the second supplementary budget of 2016-17, some important bills would also be presented during the session.
BJP leader Prem Kumar said his party would raise the "failures" of the government.
The winter session would end on December 2.
