Indian IT major Wipro Ltd on Tuesday announced it had bagged a multi-year contract to provide integrated application and infrastructure services to T-Mobile, Poland's largest mobile operator.
"Over the next five years, we will help T-Mobile systemise and standardise its IT architecture and operations and provide services from our delivery centre in Warsaw," Wipro vice-president Anil Jain said in a statement here.
The IT outsourcing major will also improve T-Mobile's legacy application, transforming its operating model to domain-focus leading to better customer service.
"As T-Mobile is a large transformational deal and a significant win, we will enhance its business performance through operational efficiency," Jain said.
Wipro operates three development centres in Poland - at Warsaw, Gdansk and Dabrowa Gornicza - after its foray into the east European country in 2008, with 300 employees to provide IT and back office services to customers across verticals.
"In Wipro, we have a business partner aboard who understands where we want to be as a company and has the domain expertise to help us achieve our goals," T-Mobile Polska chief technology officer Milan Zika added.
