Software major Wipro Ltd. on Wednesday projected higher revenue from its global IT services business for the first quarter (April-June) of the new fiscal (2016-17) on strong growth in the fourth quarter (January-March) of fiscal 2015-16.
"We expect revenue from our IT services to be in the range of $1,901-1,939 million ($1,920 average) for the first quarter (Q1) ending June 30," the company said in a statement here.
IT services revenue for fourth quarter (Q4) under reference grew 6 percent yearly and 2.4 percent sequentially to $1,882 million in dollar terms in line with its outlook of $1,875-1,912 million given in January and restated guidance range of $1,869-1,906 based on actual currency.
"Our focus is to drive growth in our run business through integrated services and hyper-automation while gaining leadership in the change business through investments in digital and consulting capabilities, IP-based platforms and products," Wipro chief executive Abidali Z. Neemuchwala said in the statement.
