NDA candidate M. Venkaiah Naidu and opposition's Gopalkrishna Gandhi were left in the fray for the August 5 vice presidential poll, with the last date of withdrawal of nominations ending on Friday.
Both filed their nominations for the election on July 18.
Former Information and Broadcasting Minister and senior BJP leader Naidu was chosen as the ruling NDA's candidate on July 17.
Former West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi, a grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, was on July 11 named the opposition candidate for the post of Vice President by the Congress and 17 other parties, including the JD-U.
