A woman was killed and six people were injured Monday when a jungle safari special toy train derailed near Tindharia in West Bengal's Darjeeling district, police said.
"The brakes of the Siliguri-bound train failed and it started to shake before jumping the rails. The panic-stricken tourists tried to jump off the train that led to the death of a woman and injuries to at least six other people," Kurseong sub-divisional police officer A.S. Kadiyan said.
The woman, who died after injuries on her head, was identified as Moli Pal, a resident of Kolkata.
