A new survey shows that British women tend to have longer associations with their hairdressers than with their life partners.
The study, conducted by online shopping site NetVoucherCodes.co.uk, found that women will remain with the same hairdresser for 12.4 years, which is longer than a typical marriage lasts in Britain, which currently stands at 11 years and six months, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
It was also revealed that women put their hairdressers in the top 10 important people in their life.
"The bond a woman has with her hairdresser is an extremely close one, and one she would not give up lightly," said a spokesperson for NetVoucherCodes.co.uk.
"As our study found, women spend over a year trying to find the right hairdresser, so it is completely understandable that they remain with them for a long time," spokesperson added.
