The World Hindi Summit, being held in Madhya Pradesh later this week, is set to highlight the inroads that Hindi language is steadily making in the IT sector and the prospects it holds for Hindi users to take the plunge into the world of computers.
Being organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, the September 10-12 summit will see participants brain-storming over methods to strengthen the spread of Hindi language apart from evaluating the efforts already underway and improvement in this direction.
During the summit, an exhibition touching various important issues, including Hindi's usage in Information and Technology (IT) sector, will apprise participants on how they could employ Hindi in the IT sector, as the language is no more a barrier for them.
"The exhibition, showcasing growing influence of Hindi in the IT sector, will be participated in by industry giants like Google, Microsoft, and Apple. These companies will inform the participants how Hindi is turning into a computer language," Lajpat Ahuja, the rector of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and the summit's coordinator, told IANS.
