Yubrani Banerjee continued her good form by entering the final of the girls singles under-18 event at the ongoing Rendez-Vous A Roland Garros national series tennis tournament at the red clay courts of the Dakshin Kalikata Sansad here on Friday.
Yubrani, seeded third in the draw took one hour and ten minutes to outclass Tamil Nadu's G.S. Vasavi by a dominating 6-2, 6-1 margin.
In the final on Saturday, Yubrani will face fourth seed Karnataka's Pratibha Prasad Narayan, who beat Haryana's Smriti Singh 6-4, 6-1 in the other semi-final.
The winner of the final will add 75 national ranking points besides a berth in the Delhi Masters.
Meanwhile, in boys singles under-18, top seed Parikshit Somani of Assam blanked Abhimanyu Vannemreddy by an easy 6-0, 6-3 to set up a summit clash with second seed Rishabh Sharda, who got the better of Telengana's Rithvik Choudhary Bollipalli in a marathon 6-3, 6-7(3), 6-3.
