Zara Phillips, eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth, and her husband Mike Tindall are expecting their first child in the New Year.
The news about Zara's pregnancy was announced by Buckingham Palace, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
A post on the official website of the British Monarchy stated: "Mr and Mrs Mike Tindall are very pleased to announce that Zara Tindall is expecting a baby in the New Year."
The 32-year-old's mother, Princess Anne, and her ex-husband Captain Mark Phillips are "delighted" for their daughter and the professional rugby player.
"The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, Mr. Phillip and Mrs. Linda Tindall, and members of both families are delighted with the news. This baby will be the first child for Mike and Zara and the third grandchild for The Princess Royal," added the post.
Zara and Tindall tied the knot in July 2011 at the Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh, Scotland.
