Malik, member of One Direction band, is born to British Pakistani father Yaser and an English mother. He became a target after a song, "Zayn Did 9/11", where the singer's silhouette superimposed over an image of the Sep 11 attacks, released online recently, reports mirror.co.uk
However, his loyal fans didn't leave his side as the were seen holding signs at his concerts, with "Zayn not Racist" written on it.
The 9/11 attacks were terrorist attacks on the US Sep 9, 2001.
