Zindagi lines up love, hope, betrayal for 2015

After bringing a bouquet of refreshing stories from across the border, Zindagi channel is all set to telecast stories involving mushy romance, the dark side of love or a girl's quest to find her Price Charming.

A Hindi channel which airs Pakistani serials, Zindagi will premier five shows with a promise to engage and entertain Indian audiences with fresh stories, unique narratives and powerful acting.

The first show "Piya Re", which will air Jan 7, will touch upon love, marriage, fragility of relationships, sacrifice and acceptance. The story revolves around a couple Faisal and Ujjala, who get married after lot of obstacles. The show will take viewers through their journey as they explore marriage.

Another marvel from Pakistan "Khwahishein", which also commences Jan 7, narrates story of a girl named Ajia, who like most young girls dreams of a fairytale life for herself where a prince charming will come and sweep her off her feet and take her away from her mediocre middle-class life.

"Maya", which will premier Jan 12, is a tale of bond between two sisters - Maya and Zarmeena. The story follows narrative from Zarmeena's point of view as she talks about her sister Maya and their life together. It is about how their relationship survives when life throws some challenges in front of them.

Making its debut Jan 20 is "Mausam", which is the story of love and sacrifice spanning two generations.

A tale of love and betrayal, "Ijaazat" talks about a couple Sahil, a film director and his writer wife, Seep. Such is their bond that Seep writes out woman of her husband's dream -- Diya, for his upcoming project. Sahil gets obsessed with finding the perfect girl to play Diya and finally meets Pares who fits the bill. It is then their bond of love and compassion is questioned. The show will start beaming Jan 20.

The shows will also mark the arrival of big names from Pakistani entertainment industry including Aamina Sheikh, Saman Balouch, Mohib Mirza and Adeel Hussain on Indian television.
