 How serious is the Maoist menace in Chhattisgarh?

The Maoists stepped into Chhattisgarh from Andhra Pradesh in early 1980s and now pose a big challenge to the democracy and sovereignty of the country. The problem is not confined to Chhattisgarh. Other states, especially those which share a border with the state, are also feeling the heat.

 Do you discern a change in their direction now? Attacks on industrial areas, for instance?  There is no direction left in the Maoist movement now. The rebels are exploiting tribals by imposing their writ at the barrel of the gun. The rebels want to change the system and the democratic set-up in the country.
