Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee recently cut all ties with Shuvaprasanna — one of her key advisors and a painter famous for sketches of crows in Kolkata. But Banerjee has a special place for crows in her heart. While the whole world seems to be in love with octopus Paul for its correct FIFA World Cup predictions, Banerjee prefers crows. Recently, at an informal chat with journalists, Banerjee said she would like to keep a crow as a pet. “Not only that, I would also teach the crow some astrology, so that it can predict and beat Paul in the next World Cup in 2014,” she quipped. Of course, the bird has to wait because, currently, Banerjee and her party are busy predicting the results of next year’s assembly elections and going all out to see that their favourable predictions come true.
