When the BJP leaders decided to organise a national executive meeting in Delhi, the biggest challenge was to decide on a suitable venue. Even after several days of brainstorming when the senior leaders could not take the decision, the party leadership decided to organise the meet in a five-star hotel. When party MLA Karan Singh Tanwar heard about the venue, he suggested the NDMC convention centre, near Jantar Mantar, could be a perfect choice. “The ruling government didn’t want to give us this place and wanted to block the proposal. But I have documents of alleged scams worth Rs 2,000 crore, so we had arm-twisted them in getting us this place. I will bring out the scam at the right time, till I have to get a few other work done for the party,” said Tanwar, who was busy entertaining journalists at the venue.
