All elections roads are now leading to Uttar Pradesh. Politicians, who were involved in the Uttarakhand elections, have now seamlessly moved to UP. For example, Union Health Minister J P Nadda, who was overseeing the Uttarakhand election and was parked in Dehradun for weeks, has now moved to eastern UP. He is stationed in Varanasi, handling the prime minister’s constituency to make sure there are no shocks. Energy Minister Piyush Goyal’s work in the same constituency is paying dividends. The BJP Jharkhand in-charge and Uttarakhand nominee Trivendra Singh Rawat is also in Varanasi. Former chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is now in Gorakhpur. National Organising Secretary Ramlal and a host of central BJP leaders have also been summoned to eastern UP. The BJP reckons this is that phase of the poll where it can do well and is leaving no stone unturned to coordinate its army of workers and supporters.
