The latest issue of the Organiser, a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)-inspired publication, has a two-page write-up on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah. The article written by Sunil Deodhar, National Convener of Northeast Sampark Cell of the party, is titled "A Leader Who Cares for Workers". Deodhar writes that "no worker can ever dare to mislead Amit Shah, he gets caught instantaneously" and that the perennially polite party president "at times speaks in strong terms". The article also praises Shah's ability to meet hundreds of workers every day at his one-bedroom house. It talks about the BJP president being born to considerable wealth but having given it all up for social and political work. In this context, the article has one interesting nugget of information. Deodhar claims that "his [Amit Shah's] grandfather had paid (Rs) five crore tax in 1952... This is enough to perceive how rich his family is".
