The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) convenor, Sharad Yadav, is a little annoyed these days because he had to cut short his trip to China as the Union government allowed foreign direct investment in multi-brand retail. Soon after the UPA government took the decision, Yadav spoke to senior leaders of NDA. The NDA convenor had to rush back from China in just a day to take part in the Bharat bandh on September 20. NDA had earlier planned to carry out a nationwide bandh on September 18, but on Yadav’s insistence, it was postponed to September 20.
