With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching, friends-turned-foes Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] are coming up with innovative ways to attack each other. JD(U) members of Bihar Assembly recently staged a play in the garden of the state legislature in Patna, ridiculing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While Baikunthpur legislator Manjit Kumar Singh played Modi, armed with a box marked "black money", his colleague, Sonbarasa MLA Ratnesh Sada, essayed the role of BJP President Amit Shah. Around 15 other legislators played common men, getting more and more frustrated with the fictional Modi defaulting on all his promises. After the performance, Singh said: "We wanted to send a loud and clear message - the people of the country will not tolerate him (Modi) and his gimmicks anymore."
