Prime Minister Narendra Modi's final say on the size of the Indian contingent for the upcoming Asian Games at Incheon has come as a blow to woman boxing coach Hemlata Bagdwal. Although she's just one among the 263 dropped from the original contingent headed to South Korea, her exclusion is attracting attention for quite a different reason. Bagdwal played a role in coaching Priyanka Chopra to play Mary Kom in the eponymous film, which is doing brisk business in cinemas. A regular with the Indian team to various international championships in the past few years, Bagdwal has shaped the careers of several budding boxers so her exclusion is puzzling on that count alone.
