Mahindra & Mahindra’s automotive division recorded its highest-ever sales in January this year at 36,718 units. Pawan Goenka, president, automotive division, said sales of the company’s utility vehicle Bolero also touched a record high at 8,400 units. And the reason for this surge was interesting. “Bolero is especially popular during the marriage season,” Goenka said, adding that sales of the vehicle are high around Punjab because it is a favourite with brides there.
